My verdict

My acne scar cheat code, but not because it fades anything on its own. Ectoin, ceramide NP and seven weights of hyaluronic acid keep my barrier calm, so the red and dark marks fade evenly instead of getting picked at and irritated. A thin layer pressed onto the marks at night, and it took weeks.

How I use it

  1. Night, after serum.
  2. A thin layer pressed onto the marks, not rubbed in.
  3. Whole face on dry nights, marks only on oily nights.
  4. SPF in the morning, always.

Who this is for

Post-acne red and dark marks, a dry or compromised barrier, retinol users who need a buffer.

Who this is not for

If you want an oil-free gel, this is a rich cream; oily skin should use it on the marks only. Not a spot treatment for active pimples and not an exfoliant.

Questions I get about it

Do you use the 147 cream on active pimples?

No. Marks only. My spot treatment goes on the breakout, the 147 goes on what it leaves behind.

Is it too heavy for combination skin?

A thin layer is fine. Very oily skin should keep it to the marks.

Morning or night?

It layers under makeup, but night is where I get the most out of it.
