Anua Heartleaf Pore Cleansing Oil review: oil pulls oil
Heartleaf Pore Cleansing Oil. Melts away makeup and SPF without clogging pores. Double cleansing step one, done right.
My verdict
Oil pulls oil. This is the cleansing oil from my most viewed skincare video and the reason I stopped fighting blackheads with scrubs. Massaged on dry skin it dissolves SPF, makeup and the sebum sitting in the pore, then it rinses milky instead of greasy. Step one of my double cleanse ever since.
How I use it
- Dry hands, dry face, two pumps.
- Massage for one to two minutes, longer on the nose.
- Wet your hands and keep massaging so it turns milky.
- Rinse, then follow with the foam cleanser.
Who this is for
Anyone who wears SPF or makeup daily, blackheads, a congested nose.
Who this is not for
If you skip the second cleanse, the residue can clog. If your breakouts are the fungal type, oil cleansing can feed them, so check with a derm first.
Questions I get about it
Does oil cleansing cause breakouts?
Not in my experience, as long as it is fully removed by a second cleanse.
Should I use it in the morning?
No need. Once at night is the job.
What are the little grits on my nose?
Sebum plugs the oil loosened. Rinse them away and do not squeeze.
